Paul Lewis 1985

Over the years, Australia brought een lot of verry dedicated riders.
But in the beginning, the oversea`s races brought even so, lots of trouble with transportation. Thats why we didn`t see much of them in the early 70tie`s and 80tie`s. But once in a whyl, one came over to settle on European grounds.
One of them, Paul Lewis, made his drives in the 500cc in 1985 and 1986.
In this years, he came out for the Team Heron-Skoal Bandit on à Suzuki XR-70
He ended the season of 1985 at the 25th place in the Championship with only 1 point.
In the same year, Wayne Gardner (Honda), took the 3th place overall.
Between 1983 and 1987 became the hungry years for Suzuki
without just one single win at the GP.
